Children's Sunday School is held downstairs in the Fellowship Hall at Salem UMC following the Children's Sermon during worship service.  All are welcome!

We believe that no child is too small to learn about God's love!  Our youngest Sunday School Class is for children who are ready for the Sunday School experience up to Kindergarten age.  We have an altar and we start each class sitting at the worship center.  Offerings are optional and occasionally we have special offerings for a certain cause.  We have special prayer time, we talk about what good things have happened during the week, and then we thank God for those things and pray for our concerns.  We present a kid-friendly Bible lesson each week making an effort to make the Bible story apply to things that happen in their everyday lives.  We accompany the Bible lesson with an age appropriate craft, game, or song. 

We also participate in special programs to honor Mothers, Fathers, Grandparents, Christmas, and other special occasions when we are asked.  One special task lead by our youngest class was the purchase and subsequent "gifting" of the solid brass bud vases on the altar to honor births, birthdays, or anything that a person wants to celebrate. Those vases will be there as the kids grow up and makes them a part of the church family activities and worship.
